My current laptop has been on it's last legs for months now... before that it wasn't able to run any modern games so I decided to bite the bullet and get a new gaming laptop.  

Can't wait to get back into gaming and actually run modern games!

Specs are:

  • Battery: 4 Cell 54 Watt Hour Lithium-Ion
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4GB

  • Keyboard: Keyboard French-English
  • Memory: 16.0GB PC3L-12800 DDR3L SDRAM 1600 MHz

  • Network Card: WIFI AC Wireless (2x2)
  • Hard Drive: Hybrid 1TB 5400 RPM+8GB SSHD

I am glad that you were able to update your hardware, however even with that system you will be limited.  Did you have an option for a full blown SSD drive?

Infinite improvement over my previous system:

  • Core i3-370M
  • RAM: 4GB
  • Hard drive size: 320GB
  • Dedicated Video Memory: 1024MB

Need to catch up on all my recent purchases that ran like crap on this.  

Will debate updating the HD to SSD, but for the time being it's a major step up for me for about $1K. cheers

No, it definitively is a good update for you, I was just trying to suggest that maybe a pure SSD might be a better value for your system drive and then you could have a separate external mechanical hard drive for bulk data storage - at least something along those lines.
