Hopefully my Hornet does not end up like this too often.

Anyway, I had been wondering how many people they had working on this game, and now I know:

...a towel (like anyone could give a rat's rear quarter about such a thing).

I'm assuming this is an homage to The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

"A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value - you can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a mini raft down the slow heavy river Moth; wet it for use in hand-to- hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or to avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (a mindboggingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you - daft as a bush, but very ravenous); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough."

Rock, I never saw The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy so I did not get the reference.

Anyway, Star Citizen just hit $41 million dollars in crowd funding.

Since it is slow around here, I figured I would share the fact that I bought a "11-Series Broadsword" by "Knightbridge Arms Swords" back in March.

Today Star Citizen hit $43 million dollars in crowd funding. With that, everyone will be awarded "Omni Role Combat Armor (ORC) mk9" for their characters in game.

There is a new hanger patch. I have not downloaded it yet, but you now get your useless towel with this patch.

Got this in an email today.

Hi Frank "Scotch" Rock

As Xplor is now the largest self sustained deep space exploration organization in the Star Citizen universe, and made up of over 1040 primary members, we have decided we will open our doors to affiliate membership for a limited time.

First order of business, everyone vote for the "Engine tuning kit" so that worthless "space plant" option loses. If you do not know what the Engine tuning kit is, you will thank me later when you are able to use it in game. A space plant is an inanimate object that has no appreciable benefit to you when you are flying around.
